The City of Los angeles Department of City Planning is proud to share these data products with the public to increase transparency, accountability and customer service. Basic Planning data is shared as ESRI ArcGIS shapefiles, or as a large assortment of maps from citywide to community planning area in extent, and as a part of a growing planning Dialog expressed throu ESRI ArcGIS interactive story maps.
Our gallery consists of spatially enabled maps based on Citywide, City Council District, Area Planning Commission area, and Community Planning Area geographies. These maps have been authored integrating numerous spatial data utilizing ESRI ArcGIS and TerraGo Publisher software. These maps provide a sense of place for administrative information. Story maps are the intersection beween curiosity and information through the use of maps and data. Story maps embark on a journey to understand the facts while promoting awareness of ongoing projects througout the city. This is accomplished through a presentation of maps accompanied by a narrative story of text, imagery, and multimedia content.
