Housing and Safety Element Update Webinar

This summer, the City hosted two webinars to introduce the Draft 2021-2029 Housing Element and Safety Element Update. The webinars were hosted in English with Spanish translation and broadcasted on facebook live, with nearly 500 people participating across all events. Each webinar session included information about the state-mandated requirements of the Housing Element, a chapter by chapter review of the Draft Housing Element including Site Selection, Constraints, and proposed Goals, Objectives, Plans, Policies and Programs. After the review of the Housing Element update, staff provided a review of the features of the Safety Element Update and targeted amendments to the Health and Wellness Element. Following the formal presentation, each webinar included a question and answer session. Please note the majority of the webinar is focused on the Housing Element Update, with information on the Safety Element and Plan for a Healthy LA starting at 55:15.
